If you liked the first Miss Peregrine book, you should enjoy this one as well. But there were a couple of info dumps, so maybe that was my problem.ĭon’t expect any resolution to the overall plot because this one essentially ends on a surprising cliffhanger. When I think back on it, the action is fairly continuous. Parts of the story dragged a bit for me but I can’t explain why. I feel the creepy old photos are incorporated a bit more seamlessly than they were in the first book however, there were still some odd moments that were obviously only there to describe a picture the author really liked. It’s been years since I read the first one so maybe the time lapse and/or my shifting tastes are to blame.
